Proposed Richard Harding(s) merger - any more?

Having reviewed 3 Richard Harding (1766) profiles, each with separate PM's my conclusion is they are for the same individual.  Are there any more sub-tree PM's that have the same individual in their care? If so please join in this proposed merge.   My MyHeritage tree (see my profile for link) covers all three subtrees if you're interested.

I don't see evidence that you proposed the merges, Phil.

To start the merge process, use the hyperlink at the bottom left of the profile page to propose a merge to the lowest-numbered profile that you think is the same person. Do this for the profile you manage and also for the higher- numbered profile. In your "reason" comments, indicate that you think there are three duplicates needing to be merged. The merge proposals will generate notifications to the other profile managers.

Thanks Ellen - for guidance,  I had actually private messaged the other 2 PM's with a proposal to merge the 3 profiles, and as they were much more experienced Wt's I asked if they could do the merges - rather than have me get it wrong and also to give them a heads-up so we could judge the proposal.

Yet to hear back so will await some response first,

Phil P
Private messages to other members do not initiate the merge process, and if we make mistakes in a merge proposal there are several opportunities for other members to correct any errors we made.

A merge proposal is just a proposal until it has been approved by members of both profiles' trusted lists, or until it goes to default approval after 30 days have passed. After a merge has been approved, a WikiTreer needs to do the merge, which is a process of comparing the contents of the two profiles and determining what elements should be included in the merged profile (it takes a human to make sure that the same contents aren't repeated in the biography because of a merge).

When we propose a merge, the other profile managers get a message that includes a "compare" link for the two profiles, so they can quickly see what you are proposing -- and reject the proposal if they disagree. Additionally, the merge proposal appears at the bottom of the profile, and any member who disagrees can reject the proposal -- even after it has gone to full approval.
Thanks again Ellen, Please bear in mind I wished to discuss with what are effectively members of my family their views on our presumed shared ancestor - there are several Richard Hardings in our family and other families  too and the Harding family like many others has elements around the world on different local times.  I can see from your comments that WT offers a formalised approach that we will use in future.
New Years Day 2024:

My original request has produced no response from any of the original PMs;  Richard Hayden, Hayden-2845 has not made any contributions since early 2021, so may not be active on WT - Please can the WT experts assist in either confirming his cessation and advising how we solve merging 3+ pairs of duplicates  of the Harding profiles below:

Mary Dix Dix-1267

Richard Harding Harding-6660 (mgd by Phillips-38726)

and Harding-4440  (mgd by Richard Hayden Hayden-2845)

William Harding Harding-11317

I followed Ellen Smith's advice and the PMs have not responded.  Please help.

OK, the other profile manager(s) never responded. WikiTree's process for trying to get a response from an unresponsive profile manager is described at Help:Unresponsive Profile Managers; that process may yield a response, or it may lead to the closure of the other profile manager(s)' account(s).

Since your real goal apparently is about confirming the genealogy, it seems to me that rather than passively waiting to hear from others, you should be working on research and documentation of your research. The only source I see mentioned for Richard Harding born in Wiltshire being the son of John Harding born in Gloucestershire is "MyHeritage Harding family trees." I think you probably have better evidence than other people's family trees (wills, parish records, etc.), so that evidence should be discussed in Richard's profile. The England Project may have advice to assist your research.
