GEDCOM Downloads Option for Direct Ancestors

I have no idea if this isn't already covered by some WT app, but I was on the gedcom download page and noticed that there was no option to limit profiles to ancestors only, i.e. no siblings or step family at every branch.  Is there a reason for that, or am I the first to ask?

I think for what you want to do, you need to adjust what's included in the gedcom file when you are downloading it. I'm no expert in this area but check out the help pages for more information. Start here:

I think BB is wanting to export data from Wikitree.

Ellen is right.  I am seeking to export a direct ancestor only gedcom, no siblings or step family.  Right now it only works in reverse, where you can export direct descendants of profile X.  I want to export the direct ancestors.

Since the tech team is updating the family tree tools, I thought is might be time to ask for this now.
