Owain Glyndŵr was proclaimed Prince of Wales by his followers following the rejection of discussions by the then King of England, Henry IV. His banner was raised at Ruthin Castle on the 4th of May 1400.

He's a great-grand uncle to me too Stuart. And to John Lennon!

Owain and I are 4th cousins 18 times removed through Roger Somery de Somery, his 3rd great grandfather and my 21st great grandfather.

Interestingly I live 3 miles outside Corwen, Denbighshire, Wales and drive and walk past Owain's statue on his horse on the corner on the A-5 in the center of town.

If you look up Owain in Corwen, you'll see a picture of his statue.

I just started to read your post, James, when it dawned on me......I did see his statue when I last visited Corwen on 'Google Maps'......just made my day!  laugh

Hi cuz, there was a Ukrainian flag on his sword until the last storm. I'm sure it will be back soon.

By the way the Llangollen train is running again in steam so I'll try and get some pictures and the new Corwen station is now finished.
Long live steam trains!!
Hi James,

Are you a member of the Wales Project? It would be great to get another experienced Wikitreer within our ranks.

Steve
Hi Steve, I would be happy to help, but, I am in a supportive situation which can limit my participation, so I will be happy to do what I can,

By the way, how does a "technoidiot" get the sticker?

Thanks, James
Hi James,
Totally understand. The Wales Project is populated with those, like us, who can only afford a bit of time irregularly.
As for the how to thingy, copy this thing below into your biography, I have modified it for you specifically, If it doesn't work give me a shout.
Regards Steve
