Has anybody connected Dr. David Livingstone and Sir Patrick Manson?

Has anybody worked out the connection between Dr. David Livingstone, the famous explorer, and Sir Patrick Manson, the Father of Tropical Medicine?

I am trying to prove out a family connection to Dr. David Livingstone (1813-1873), the famous Scottish missionary and explorer. 

I have tracked our family tree back to Sir Patrick Manson (1844-1922), who was famous in his own right for his work with malaria.  Patrick is the son of Elizabeth Livingstone Blaikie (1822-1905), and there are reports of Elizabeth being a "cousin" of Dr. David Livingstone, but I cannot yet work out the connection. I was wondering if anybody else has done this work already and might be able to share?
