Same profiles but different info

Question

I got a post on the bottom of one of the profiles that I took over  a few years back. 

It said that the profile still wasn’t right. And that I needed to fix it, the info on the wife etc was wrong. 

I told the poster that I got the info from North American History (from Ancestry).

Today I got another post  saying that she hasn’t been able to find anything about him being baptized.I told her that  If she were to go down to the citations and click it would bring up everything.

which I know isn’t allowed here. Her citations can be clicked on but they are the type that just brings you up and down the page. 

Can someone please take a look at this and let me know when merged which information/citations should be saved and which shouldn’t. Tia

Moore is on the other profile. I have Sawer as the Mother. The profile was made by someone else, already attached to his father, I adopted the profile and added the citations. Neither one of us has the mothers profile made yet.

 Are they legit citations? All anyone has to do has to do is click on them and they will see that the citations for his parents is from a very old book. The rest are from Family Search. Which I’ve been told is a more reliable source than a newspaper.

I guess I don’t see where it is (other than the one marriage of the love person that’s sketchy. I know that back then they abbreviated names which I thought they did in this case. That’s why I put it in there) that I messed up. Which citations are correct?

I don’t mean to sound as if I’m upset with you, it’s just very frustrating to basically be told I’ve been doing this for so long and yours is wrong because I can’t find the info that you have.

Alice, I am looking over the information and think that the biggest hurdle to a merge would be the maiden name of the Mother of Johnathan. If you propose a merge now perhaps it would be rejected by the other PM or it would most likely go into an Unmerged Match until the differences get ironed out.

Maiden name of Mother...Moore or Sawyer?? There is a note on the Fathers profile to say that he married first Hannah Moore, then 2nd Hannah Sawyer Snow, who was cousin to his first wife. His death date does not line up with his second marriage and a reliable source is needed to clear this question up. But it certainly might explain the confusion on the maiden name.

On your profile you say the maiden name of the mother is Sawyer yet attached to your profile the Mother has a maiden name of Moore. I have been working in that profile to try and clarify what her last name at birth actually is.

I think it would be better to get all your ducks in a row with solid sourcing before making the merge request. It seems from the comments that there is some disagreement and perhaps that stems from some conflation of the details on this family.

I will continue to dig around and see what I can find. I have been tweaking some of your info as I find sources to back it up.

I replied to myself  see above please. Also I did find more citations and now they’re all gone. I know there’s a way to roll back the changes. I just have to look it up. I went to delete the people that were brothers and sisters and now all of the citations went poof
