Archibald Wetherford Hodges (b. 2/5 or 26/1833 Garrard Co. KY and d. 9/19/1921 LaPlatta MO) and Alice (or Alicy) Ardena Louderback (b. 12/9/1838 in IL and d. 2/21/1907). Archibald married Alice 10/15/1857 in Knox Co. Mo. And had 6 boys and 4 girls: Zora Annis, Martha Ellen, William S., John Marion, David C., Louisa Alice, Archibald P., Ida Mae, James A., and Ailsy M.
Louisa Alice Hodges (b. 10/5/1868 in Knox Co. MO, and d. 12/1/1938 in Knox Co. MO) married Robert Wilson Petree (b. 3/7/1861 in Decatur Co. IN and d. 12/29/1950 in Hazel Dade Cemetery in Knox Co. Brashear MO) on 2/10/1887 in Knox Co. MO. They had 3 children: Edgar Ray, Delbert and Blanche.
The 1920 and 1930 Census’ show that Edgar Ray was the oldest child and had one brother Delbert (b. 1906) and one sister Blanche M. (b. 1898 MO). Blanche married Tony Edgar Fast (b. c 1888 and d. 1918) and had a daughter Lucille Fast (b. 1915). Blanche is then listed in 1920 with Robert Wilson & Louisa Petree with a 5 year old Lucille, then in 1930 as married to William Welch in the same area with Lucille as a 15 year old.
Edgar Ray Petree (b. 5/1/1891 in MO and d. 9/1976 and is buried in LaPlatta, Macon Co. MO and whose SS# was 498-72-8390), and Anice May Lewis (b. 10/29/1896 Knox MO and d. 11/10/1986 LaPlatta, Macon Co. MO and whose SS# was 497-72-4232) were married in Knox County, Missouri in 1915. They had 3 children: Merle Grace (b. 11/28/1918 in Knox Co. MO d. 11/6/1980 in St Mary’s Cemetery, Sacramento CA), Oren Ray (b.1921 and d. 1957) and Leo F. Petree (b. 7/23/1925 and d. 9/15/2009).
Merle Grace Petree married John Wesley James Harris. and had 6 children Wesley Ray, Larry James , Ira James, Jerry Lee , Bonnie Mary and Doramae. Larry Harris has two children, Gina and Tina. Ira have one child Christina. Jerry has one child, Jerry Jr. Bonnie has four children Anthony, Sharnice, Sheree and Robert (and numerous grandchildren) and Doramae has four children Shannon, Tina, Brianne and Reggie and numerous grandchildren as well.
