This weeks winner of the Collaborative Profile of the Week is....

Anne (Williams) Foulk (1693-1773) A member of the Society of Friends

http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Williams-2478

I'm sure that Anne, as a modest member of the Society of Friends, would wonder why we were making a fuss over her. She has a story. There's a link on her page.

She'll need a bio written from the information in the link.

Are there other texts written about her?

Can we verify some of the facts using Friends meeting minutes and other sources?

Her husband was a minister, let's give him a short bio also.

She has parents and children, who can be worked on also.

Categories?

Immigrant templates? I love those little flags at the beginning of profiles.

Can anyone "sum up" the principles of the Soc. of Friends in one paragraph and add it to the profile?

REMEMBER: When you start to research some aspect of Ann, add an answer here so we don't duplicate efforts.

Nice Anne, thanks!
Found sources with conflcting birth and parents.   One says she was born in Wales to John and Ann Williams publ. 1940.  Other says born in PA to John and Mary (Evans) Williams, publ 1925.  Appear to be compilations of the same author.
Ah! A plot twist. If it is indeed the same author, he perhaps changed his mind. Chris have you got a link to the 1925 pub?

Maybe he found more info?

The one below has a source of:  The Friend: Vol. XXXV; p. 276 - but not sure which details about Ann and Hugh it might refer to.

Loving a puzzle, I did an analysis of the two works. I've placed it on the profile. Unfortunately, I really can't decide which is correct given the information I have at my disposal. I'm leaning towards the b. in Pennsylvania. This is supported here http://www.gwyneddmeeting.org/history/williams.htm  There should be a record of their dismissal from one meeting and acceptance at Gwynnedd.

Going to add a bakground let me know what you think...Jacky
Jacky, that's just what it needed. thank you.

I just noticed an interesting discrepancy. The profile for Ann Williams father, says he was born in North Dakota and Ann was born in Wales. North Dakota didn't exist in 1660. And if it did that would be a very odd immigration pattern. Someone want to look into this?

I'm going to tidy the profiles of Anne's children.

Though this was a while I go, I noted after working on the parents, that this was a daughter of a family that needed some work.

I have to give a shout out to RJ Horace for the quick identification that he made to complete the parentage (See the now closed question: Advice before adding spouse of this pre-1700 Williams profile?). The entire family constellation has some weaknesses (mostly in the form of siblings being excluded, and the buildout of the Williams line), but those who have been entered are in pretty good shape.

Thanks for the early efforts to build out this collateral line!
