Mary Madelon Court becomes the next brick wall. Born in 1847 in Pennsylvania, she married in 1863 in Noble, Indiana to Gustave F. Girardot. What can be so difficult in finding a person with such a unique name?
In the 1910 US Census for Santa Cruz, California, we find the two of them living at 17 Plymouth. That is the same address we will find Gustave living at in city directories till 1920. Six of her 8 children are still alive in 1910.
Gustave is found in the 1920 US Census back in Colorado living with his daughter's family near today's Aurora. Marital status is listed as widowed.

What if her last name isn't Court? We find her in the 1880 US Census living in Castle Rock, Colorado. What is important here is that her family is living with Sosthene Bjornson who is listed as Gustave's brother-in-law. Maybe her last name was Van Court or Von Court. So Court might be an Americanized version of the original name. Of course, it could also be McCourt but I don't think so, going by her/Gustave's brother-in-law.
