1921 ship manifest "last place of residence" says "T. Maggiore" in Italy. Does anyone know where this is?

Details:

Source - "New York Passenger Arrival Lists (Ellis Island)"

Immigration date: 17 May 1921

Residence place: T. Maggiore, Italy

Nationality: Italy, Italian South

Departure Port: Naples, Italy

Ship Name: San Giovanni

Again, I'm seeking to find what T. Maggiore represents.

Maybe it was L. Maggiore.

See Lake Maggiore in Milan. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lake_Maggiore
Thanks for this. I knew about Lake Maggiore but the passenger's Nationality is listed as "Italian South" whereas Lake Maggiore is in the Northern Region of Italy. Also, I'm still left to wonder what the "T." prefix stands for.
Could you send a link to the manifest. Maybe, my eyes will pick something out.
T maybe the Ticino River which joins Lake Maggiore or the village of Tenero
Here's the link. The entry in question is on line 27.

Sorry, Garry,

That post is missing one thing. The link. blush

Sheesh!!

Here it is - and thanks for following up:

"New York Passenger Arrival Lists (Ellis Island), 1892-1924", database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:J6J5-224 : 2 March 2021), Michele Patella, 1921.

Looking at the image. Two entries above Patella it says T. Maggiore, below that entry instead of indicating a copy it states T. Maggio?e. The question mark representing an unreadable, smudged letter. Now I may be wrong but doesn't that mean T. Maggiore is different place. Any chance you just want to add. "She was from the South Of Italy" to the profile.

Go to a map of Naples and in the directions put in Maggiore there are a number of places in Naples itself and in Italy that have the name Maggiore, sometimes houses are named Maggiore ie. Trinita Maggiore in Naples.

Just an idea.
