New member introducing myself

Question

The family tree branch that brought me to you is on the German side of my family - Ernest Claude Stuve/Steuve/Stevy/Stevie etc. I have medium amounts of information on his six children but have questions particularly about his oldest son William who apparently took the "Steve" version of the name.  My family actually descends from his fifth son Henry C. (started with Steueve than went to Stevie).  Would enjoy hearing about Ernest's descendents.  -Sue

Welcome to WikiTree!    Glad you were able to connect with the G2G forum.

The best way to connect with an ancestor is to post a message on their profile, for the Profile Manager to respond to.   However, if the person of interest doesn't currently have a  WikiTree profile,  posting here on G2G will hopefully  provide you with information or leads.

It's very helpful when you provide the information you currently know.   A location is often critical information.    From the information you've provided,  it's only possible, but could this be your ancestor?    https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Stueve-26

Edit:   And as mentioned by other WikiTree members,  you should Upgrade you membership and help expand your family line.

Thank you for introducing yourself in our g2g forum.  I would like to suggest that you upgrade to a family membership.  It is 100% free, and you will be able to add tags to your profile. Tags can be names and/or locations of your ancestors. By adding tags you would instantly be connected to other members on WikiTree who are also researching those same names and locations that you are

You might find that you are related to someone that is already on WikiTree.
