Samuel Wells (1775 - 1880) African American died Age 105; RUNAWAY Slave?

Question

Samuel Wells an African America who was born about 1775 and died March 3, 1880. See F.AG. Link. Was he a runaway slave? His wife Cena Wells Is buried next to him. Does she have a F.A.G Link as I’m unable to find one for her? I put LNAB as “Unknown” is that correct? We need help adding sources about his genealogy. I have added photos of his gravestone I took to help in his research. 

Pic came out sideways but when you click on it shows vertical; how odd

Need help categorizing him properly
