What do I do about name Cleford-1

Question

This is the son of Charles Clifford and Jane Goddard, his baptism name is Cleford, so error in records do I leave it as birth name or change it to Clifford.

As it is his LNAB best to leave and have Clifford as current last name. You don’t know how many other family members also were mis-written. This way both spellings will show up in a search for him.
