He must have passed away during World War II, because his name is listed together with the ones of his four brothers, who all lost their lives in the war.[1]
Together with his brother Otto, he's also listed on the memorial in Hinterzarten.[2]
He must have been the son of Albert Steurenthaler and Maria Braxmaier, because they probably were the only ones with their name in Zastler.
Apparently he is not to be found in the baptism book of Hinterzarten. He might have been born before the parents wedding in 1908 (where the baptism book begins after a gap from the FamilySearch films that end in 1900). Him being on the memorial in Hinterzarten might imply that he was found in records there when compiling the list of casualties.
He might have also been born in Fischbach near Schluchsee, where the family must have lived between the birth of Otto Steurenthaler (30 August 1910) and Maria Steurenthaler (9 August 1914), since Albert Steurenthaler had been born there in November 1911.
