Hi Anita, could the privacy settings of the following private children of Liebenberg-1701 be set to a less restrictive level, say green or even open (it helps with the genealogy):

Johanna Elizabeth Cruywagen * 8 Maart 1870 https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Cruywagen-77

Johannes Frederik Hougaard * 25 Maart 1872 https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Hougaard-112

Christiaan Willem Hougaard * 4 September 1877 https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Hougaard-111

Christina Jacoba Visser * 18 Maart 1880 https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Visser-1040

Thanks in advance,

Philip

Hi Anita, we welcome the adoption of profiles; you also validated excellently. Please reconsider adoption of Johanna Frederika Magdalena (Pretorius) van Wyk (1848 - 1901). You did an excellent job.

Hi Anita, thanks for the posting of the baptism records on the pages of the children: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Van_der_Nest-36

However, we take only the spelling of the fathers LNAB on the records as guide for spelling in each individual record, not the mother. You'll find variations all over the place; near every baptism reads with the same names spelled differently. Therefore the name of the exact spelling of the LNAB of the father = (equals) the LNAB of each individual child, regardless of the spelling of that same name for the siblings or of the mother. And although we use images from Family Search, we do not use their transcriptions because these are always incorrectly spelled with suffixes in capital letters.

Hi Anita, thanks for the message on my homepage. Few graves from the 18the century remain and as many of the gravestones are from the 19th century, they will relate to the British Cape Colony and not the Dutch Cape Colony. Nevertheless, even though many gravestones have already been photographed by eGGSA (see: here) it might be useful at certain times when there are no primary records to validate dates of birth or death. Anyhow of course they are of personal significance to us on an emotional level. As for the Dutch Cape Colony, if you could add those that have dates of birth within the scope of this project, you are very welcome. Just remember to add in the comment box a remark stating that they are copyright exempt.

Hi Anita

Have you had time to read the information I sent? If so let me know when you are ready to receive your first introduction to the COGH style. We could start with Diederiks-35 if you agree. Looking forward to hear from you soon. Regards R.

Hi Anita. Sent you a private message in connection with the COGH project. Regards R
