Hilda Frances Mitchell was born on 16 February 1914. She was the daughter of William Mitchell and Edith Patterson.

She married Colin Hector Halsey Wills in 1935, in the Wesley Church, Reefton, New Zealand.

She died on the 12 June 1998, in Richmond, Tasman, New Zealand, and was cremated 26 June 1998, in the Richmond Cemetery - Richmond, Tasman District, Tasman, New Zealand; Block; Roses, Plot type: Ashes, Plot number: 34, Area: Richmond Ward.
