Genealogy as a hobby is like a jigsaw puzzle with no borders! It's never finished and there's always more to add! Family history is adding notes to each piece of the puzzle. It's amazing to see how our ancestors lived through war, disasters, and sobering to see how many children didn't make it to adulthood, and the tragedies that befell many of them. Then there are the success stories, the lives that led to our own birth. If that one person had died before producing children, we would not be alive today! At least not living the life that we are living now. Just remember, we are not bodies with a soul, but a soul with a body! Here's to our amazing, wonderful, terrible, awful, incredible family legacy! Good hunting!!

Tracey was born in Jacksonville, Florida in 1959. At the age of 3 she moved to Miami, Florida with her family on the old Seaboard Coastline Railway. She grew up in Miami-Dade County, and was married in North Miami in 1978. She and her husband moved into neighboring Broward County in 1984. After the death of her husband in 1994, she and her children moved to north Florida, and then in 1999, moved to North Carolina where they now reside.
Tracey loves all animals, especially horses and was a professional horsewoman for 30+ years. She is also a licensed pilot, a published writer, a pastor, and a genealogy junkie.
Her family tree numbers over 14,000 individuals and has been a work in progress since 1994. Major surnames are Miller, Mott, Allen, Knight, Goodbread, and Williams, all based in the SE US, primarily central Alabama and southeast Georgia.
She is currently preparing to live in an RV with her son Robert (27, muscular dystrophy) and is planning a move to Montana in the near future. (2014)

OMG, it's 2024 and where did the time go!? We've been in Montana for 10 years now, and I am the proud owner of the Sand Springs General Store and Cafe in Sand Springs, Montana. I'm a LONG way from Florida!
I have also hung my shingle as a professional genealogist. I figured that after 30 years it was time. I am still happy to help folks out with look-ups and advice.
I have two websites, [1] Family Sleuth and [2] Sand Springs General Store and Cafe, and am also on FB, Ancestry, Family Search (minimally) and can be found in many places on the web. My DNA is online in several places, and I'm always happy to meet new cousins!
BTW, if we're related through the Williams/Allen line Hank Williams and Hank, Jr. are cousins! If you're in that line I'm happy to share how that happened!

Free Space pages are wiki pages for supplementing your family history. They can be used to profile anything of significance such as a special pet, a meaningful event, a school you attended, a family heirloom .... They're "anything pages".
