Marie Louise Leclerc was born on 23 Aug 1861 and was baptized two days later in Saint-Jean-Port-Joli parish in L'Islet, Canada East. She was the daughter of Lucien Napoléon Leclerc, farmer, and Marie Léocadie Chouinard of this parish. Sponsors for Marie Louise's baptism were Tertulian Legras and Marie Louise Jean; neither sponsor signed the register.
