Lucien Napoléon Leclerc was born on 3 Oct 1845 and was baptized the next day in Saint-Jean-Port-Joli parish in L'Islet, Bas-Canada. He was the son of Lucien Napoléon Leclerc, farmer, and Marie Léocadie Chouinard of this parish.[1] Sponsors for Louis' baptism were Charles Leclerc and Christine Chouinard; Charles Leclair (sic) signed the register.
