Biography
William Harris was the son of Anthony and Isabella. The family were Quakers.
William Harris was born in Maryport on January 13, 1781. [1]
William's father Anthony was a master mariner who sailed regularly to Ireland. William was on board the boat on one of these trips when his father died.
William married Sarah Ross, daughter of John and Ann, in Cumberland on March 24, 1808. [2]
