Thomas Samuel Choate was born in 1854 in Polk County, Arkansas, United States, son of John Dillingham Choate (~1806–<1870) and Celia Humphry (~1810–~1920).^[1]

Thomas (10) married Sarah A Dalrymple (15) (born in December, 1850 in Tennessee, Tennessee, USA) on December 24, 1865 in Lawrence County, Tennessee. Their children were:
