Alfred Bell was born in the Colony of Victoria (1851-1900)
Alfred Burnie Bell was born in 1851.[1] He was the son of Joseph Bell and Georgina Ford. He passed away in 1910.[2] He is buried in the McLeod Street Pioneer Cemetery, Cairns, Queensland.[3]
The born in colony sticker is used on basis that he was born after 1 Jul 1851 when the Port Phillip District became a separate colony.
There is different sourcing for his mother's maiden name in the Queensland Register.
The register transcription of Alfred's mother's surname name should perhaps read Lassetter which is his maternal grand mother's second marriage. Georgina's last name at birth was Ford from her mother's first marriage.
