Advice before adding of this pre-1700 Mason profile?

I can add a spouse to the profile of William Mason. This is who I can add:

Sarah Bennett

Should I contact one of the pre-1700 projects or know about any style guidelines before proceeding? Thank you!

You need to cite the actual source for the marriage. The web site is a useful compilation, but pre-1700 profiles need actual sources. The web site also does not say that Sarah Bennett was William’s wife, it theorizes that she might have been, but more research is needed.

Question 3

MilesFiles cited specifically states that there is no record that his wife’s surname is Bennett. Is there a primary source for her maiden name?
