Help connect Goethe's secretary Eckermann to the Common Tree

During the recent Connect-a-Thon, the connections of notable German literary editor Johann Peter Eckermann (who is best known as secretary of famous Johann Wolfgang von Goethe) increased from two to nine, but that wasn't enough to connect him to our Common Tree. Can you find the missing links?

Btw, you can connect two notables for the price of one: Johann Peter's son Karl also is notable (his profile was created during the Thon!); he became an artist, notable for his paintings and sketchings.

Six days later and he's still at 9 connections.

It's really frustrating: I cannot connect his non-Eckermann relatives found on the German genealogy.net search, neither his mother (LNAB Schierhorn) to other Schierhorn in Asendorf, nor his wife (LNAB Bertram) to other Bertram in Northeim or Hannover, nor his brother-in-law Gerdau to other Gerdau in Winsen. There must be a link, just not at the site(s) that I have access to ...

According to {{Ancestry Tree|78669003|36394722641}}, his paternal grandfather is Jakob Eckermann (1699 Echern to 9 Feb 1774 Handorf) his paternal grandmother is Anna Meins (*12 Nov 1699 Mover, +1776 Handorf). This will not help in connecting, though, and it is not a primary source either.

Thanks, Sven!

Would his grandfather's birth place be Echem? I couldn't find Echern.

Btw, I don't have access to ancestry.

It's now a month later, and still no improvement in his connections ... sad broken heart

This is really tough one. Also it looks like his ancestors and descendants didn't really have any notable marriages (what I usually use to connect people).

We have Mary (Schlehuber) Volkmann (1855-1927), a US immigrant from Winsen. Unfortunately I don't find others, because FamilySearch lets me select "Winsen (Luhe)" from the dropdown, but then tells me that brackets are not allowed angry

Maybe checking which of the Winsen notables has a profile here might also be an idea.

Edit: no it's not, because none has.

There are 228 persons born in Winsen/Luhe in OFB Harburg. Would some of them have a WT profile already and provide potential connections?

Here are some Eckermanns born near Johann Peter's grandfather Jakob Eckermann's birthplace of Echem:

None of these have WT profiles (yet), but any chance to find them in church registers and connect them to Jakob at Echem?

There's no WikiTree profile for the sister Dorothea Elisabeth Eckermann, born 12 March 1789 in Winsen (Ancestry). What happened to her? Are there more siblings who haven't been added yet?

NLF only cites three siblings altogether: Anna Catharina (1784-1784), Katharina Maria (1785-1830) and Johann Peter (1792-1854). Of course, there could be more siblings ... As I don't have a subscription to Ancestry, I'm unable to view Dorothea Elisabeth's profile ... Any primary sources mentioned in there?

His paternal grandmother, Anna Meins, may have been born in Over. Alas!, OFB Harburg/Elbe which lists 7000+ persons for Over, does not contain a single person with LNAB Meins :(

Edit: She was born in Mover near Winsen, not in Over near Harburg. She may be related to farmers family Zeyn of Mover.

His wife Johanne (1801-1834) was the daughter of August Wilhelm Bertram, a merchant in Northeim (no sources yet, hence no WT profile). There are three Bertrams on WikiTree who were born in or near Northeim:

Any chances of linking Johanne Eckermann through them?
