Advice before adding of this pre-1700 Hebert profile?

I can add a to the profile of Ignace (Hebert) Hébert #1884. This is who I can add: Augustin Hebert dit Jolicoeur #3768. Born de St.Bathelemi de Paris en France. Marr v 1646 France. Died av. 1653-11-23 Montreal (Quebec)

These are the sources I am using:

  • St. Boniface Historical Society, Ancestors of Jamie McHugh-Lachive 2006

Should I contact one of the pre-1700 projects or know about any style guidelines before proceeding? Thank you!

hi Renée, several merges proposed, there are more to be done, we only want a single profile per person.

As a note, before creating profiles in this area, do a search, there are enormous quantities of early profiles already created, we had a small population base.

Hello,

you should check that profiles do not already exist before creating them. Your Ignace Hébert is obviously the same person as Ignace Hébert dit Deslauriers, who indeed has a father named Augustin Hebert dit Jolicoeur. So those profiles need to be merged, as well as several generations of descendants and their spouses.
