I see there are no parents listed for Mingo Hawkins and wonder if the person posting is aware that there were Hawkins Creek Indian families in the region from Alabama to GA and NC. Ben Hawkins was Indian agent for Geo Washington to the Creeks and Cherokees;there were Creek Indians named after him specifally--Benjamin Hawkins. He had sons and no doubt there were others named that too

His wife is an EDWARDS but is currently attached to a HAWKINS father. Could he have been attached to the wrong profile and might it actually be the father of Mingo ?

Rebecca was born into slavery and it appears that her father was also the enslaver. His name was Hawkins.  It was also fairly common for newly-freed people to use (or be given) the name of their enslaver as a surname.
