I want to propose a new sticker for Wikitree.

Question

  I have just recently joined and am now a part of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas.  Requirements for getting into the Daughters of the Republic of Texas is: Any woman having attained her sixteenth (16th) birthday is eligible for membership, provided she is personally acceptable to The DRT and is a lineal descendant of a man or woman who rendered loyal service for Texas prior to the consummation of the Annexation Agreement of the Republic of Texas with the United States of America on the nineteenth day of February, eighteen hundred forty-six (19 February 1846).  They do have a logo but, I'm not quite sure if Wikitree is allowed to use it.

Template:Society Member and Template:Society Ancestor have been updated to include the DRT.

Currently using the DRT Seal as an image, which is based on the State of Texas seal.

You don't actually need a new sticker, you should be able to use the "Society Member" sticker:

Template:Society Member (wikitree.com)

You may need to ask that "Daughters of the Republic of Texas" be added if you obtain permission to use their logo on the sticker, but it is on the approved list of societies already.

Hi Kathie,

I've tried using the society member template.  It doesn't work.  I'm proposing it here because that's what Wikitree told me to do to get a NEW sticker.

I think "they" (whoever manages that sticker) just need to add your group to the list of approved societies for that sticker.

Brittney, you might want to edit your tags. Delete one of them and add "genealogical society". Then the people who follow that tag will see that thread.
