Virginia Peter Joneses, pre-1800

Question

Hi! During the Clean-a-Thon, I ran across a profile for a Peter Jones that I had worked on years ago. I discovered that a lot had happened since I last worked on the profiles for several Petersburg Peter Joneses and there were LOTS of duplicates. I was getting lost, so I created a Space page - Virginia Peter Joneses - for reference. It started out just a map for the first 5 Peter Joneses of direct descent, but it grew a bit (ok, a lot) from there.

So... If you are working on a pre-1800 Virginia Jones family that has a Peter in it, perhaps you can get some help from this page. Most of them are in/around the Petersburg area - e.g., Bristol Parish, Prince George County, Dinwiddie County, and Amelia County.

If you run across a Peter you think should be added to the page, please post his information here or as a comment on the Space page.

Peter Jones (1720-1799) in my files, md Sarah Tanner 20 Feb 1746, Amelia Co., VA.  He was son of Richard Jones and Sarah Stratton.

I checked my copy of the JONES GENEALOGIES, and found both this Peter and Richard Jones,m Sarah Stratton and Sarah Tanner.  So I'll add the source and pages later when I have time.
