James Williams was born in Loughor, Glamorgan, Wales.

In the 1901 census James Ll (age 11) was the son of Daniel Williams in Gowerton, Glamorgan, Wales.[1]

Llewelyn, with mother and siblings, immigrated from England on 16 August 1902[3]

Evelyn[sic] was a passenger on 28 August 1902 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada[4]

In the 1911 census Llewelyn was the single son of Daniel Williams in Cape Breton, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada.[5]

James, son of Daniel Williams & Mary Williams, married Jennie A Sears on 23 Mar 1916 in Sydney, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada.[6][7]

In the 1921 census Lew (age 31), Machine, was the married head of household at 125 30 Armstrong, Cape Breton South and Richmond, 30 Armstrong, Nova Scotia, Canada.[8]

In the 1931 census Bert[sic] (age 40), Millwright, was the married head of household in Sydney, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada.
Wife's middle name is Alberta and nickname was Bertie. Believe this was a transposition error on the part of the enumerator.[9]
