Biography
John Smith was born in Ireland.
John was born 21 May 1873 at Ballymaguigan, Artrea, County Londonderry. He was the son of William Smith, weaver, and Eliza Woods. [1]
The family moved to Ballynasollus, Kildress, County Tyrone -- his parents and brother James were there in the 1901 census; although John was not.
On 21 Feb 1903 at Derryloran Church of Ireland, he married Mary Ferguson of Killycurragh, daughter of James Ferguson. Witnessed by Mary Glasgow and Matilda Darragh. [2]
He passed away 11 September 1945 age 72. The chief mourners were: [3] [4]
