Sources

  • First-hand information. Entered by Carolyn Scott at registration.

The earliest Louisiana ancestors were Louis Marionneaux (arrived prior to 1772 and Jerome Blanchard born in 1793 (although both his father and grandfather died in Louisiana).

The Blanchard & Landry line is our Acadian connection. This is from the Marionneaux marriage between Antoine Gilbert and Elise Landry, my great grandparents.l

Now regarding the Tomlinson line, my grandfather, John Flynt Tomlinson was born in Texas but neither parent was born in Texas thus I am a third generation Texan.

As you can see, neither of my Dad's parents were born in the South - both were from the Mid-West or the Northern state(s).

Various family lines go back to the Revolutionary War (Scott) and (Flynt) and (Tomlinson)

Hi Carolyn

Thank you for your email. It had me a little worried as it sounds like you are creating duplicate profiles. There is no mine or their tree this is just one tree. One person one profile only

Please do not create a new profile of an ancestor of they are already on here, you request to join the trusted list of the profile so you can grow the profile together.

Merging profiles always go to the lower number so it is the newest profile into the oldest lower number profile not theirs into yours as there is no theirs or yours

We share many ancestors, so they are the communities not ours as individuals.

Please review the how to pages

Good luck with the move and have a fun summer with your granddaughter

Regards Janet
