Biography
Lacy Preston Reid was born April 11, 1887 in Augusta County, Virginia, a son of Charles East Reid and Sophronia Alice “Fronie” Thacker. Lacy served during WW I as a private in the 1st Provo 71st Engineers from September 2 to December 7, 1918. His occupation was a painter and wallpaper hanger. Lacy passed away May 7, 1931and was buried at Riverview Cemetery, Waynesboro, Augusta County, Virginia.
