Project Goals

  1. Add Korte profiles to the Project if they were born or have lived in the United States or are ancestors of Korte profiles that were born or have lived in the United States. For women, add if Korte is their maiden name.
  2. Confirm all Korte profiles are sourced and connected to the greater WikiTree.
  3. Connect any unconnected family member to one of the Korte lines researched by this study or suggest a new line beginning with the original immigrant in the United States.
  4. Discover the relationship between the oldest Korte individuals within the United States and their place of origin in Europe.

Adding a profile to this study

If you wish to add a profile to this study and you don't know which Korte line they belong to, copy the following template to the Biography section of his or her profile:

{{One Name Study|name=Korte|category=Korte Name Study}}

Once the profile is connected to one of the main Korte lines, remove the template from the profile.

Things to Do

  1. List of Kortes on Wikitree (sorted by oldest birth date) - add Korte profiles to the Project if they fit the project goal.
  2. Unconnected branches with Korte profiles in them (sorted by branch size) - connect Korte profiles to the greater WikiTree.
  3. Unsourced Korte Profiles - Add sources to unsourced Korte profiles, using original, primary sources as much as possible.
  4. Orphaned Korte profiles on WikiTree - Consider adopting orphan profiles and connect them to one of the Korte lines researched by this Project.
