Geoffrey King was born in Shipley, Yorkshire, England.

Geoffrey was born in Shipley, Yorkshire, England, on April 25, 1903. He was the son of Paul King and Maggie Inman. He was enumerated in the 1911 census as a seven year old residing with his parents and five siblings at 8 Fernter Street, Shipley.

Geoffrey married Dorothy Tillbrook on July 16, 1932, in Baildon, Yorkshire, at St John the Evangelist Church. The Parish Register listed Geoffrey as a twenty eight year old bachelor and "Warehouseman" residing at Fenton Street, Shipley. His father was named as Paul King (deceased) "Fitter". Dorothy was a twenty seven year old spinster residing at 42 The Grove, Baildon. Her father was named as Arthur Frederick Tillbrook "Planer". The marriage was registered in Wharfedale. It appears the couple had at least one child.

Geoffrey and Dorothy appeared in the 1939 Register residing at 92 Cliffe Avenue, Baildon. His occupation "Laps and Waste Sorter (Worsted)". One redacted entry at address.
