Amazing after effect of the Clean-A-Thon

Hi everyone, I had to share this discovery with you. It all started with me adopting a couple profiles during the clean-a-thon for one reason or another. Well when I adopted our Gottlieb Grimm I was getting towards that delirious stage and just loved that his last name was Grimm like the Brothers Grimm.

Lucky for me before he was abandoned there was a lot of basic info already placed for me. So fast forward to today and me deciding to do a little work on him. What I have found out stuns me. Gottlieb is actually a semi well known person in Madison. He started up on of the first book binderies in Madison, Grimm's Bookbindery, which is still run by the family today. They are actually currently in business in Madison with the main owners still being his direct descendants. I never expected an outcome like this and it makes me happy that I decided I'm my delirious state that day to adopt him due to his last name.

Way to go Amanda, Sometimes we have fun with genealogy, but you can't have to much fun. Remember when you get bored just look out the window for people that are having fun at the moment, until the next day.

I actually found an article on how his story ended. He lived it pretty fully from the size of his family I bet.PS Love the comment

Cool!

Amanda, I've walked by the Grimm book bindery many times. I don't know if it's still in the same place, but it was a very interesting old building near campus.

I think it actually or at least the second location. I do remember that the family still owns and runs it which I find pretty cool.
