How do I merge two alive profiles?

I have two profiles for myself. Pierson-2955 and Pierson-1215. I have read responses to questions asking the same thing and have still not been able to resolve the problem. I sent an email message to the address info@wikitree.com as directed for deactivating the Pierson-1215 account and received a message to say that it was a no reply address and would not be read.

Hi Clare, it appears they are for different people and therefore do not need to be merged.

Ah, I found the one you are speaking of (Pierson-2955) instead of 2995.  Now I see.

Can you not merge them, bieing that you are the PM of both?  If not, perhaps this will help: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Merging#Merging_duplicate_accounts

Basically, it says that if one account does not have an active email address, then you can merge them here.

So in my mind, if both of your accounts have an active email address, delete one of the addresses. (I hope).  Make the one you want to keep ID 2 (on the merge page).

Thank you Brad. Sorry about the incorrect ID number. I have looked at the merging duplicate accounts and that is where it said to send the message to Wikitree. Both profiles apparently have email addresses and Pierson-1215 will not let me into the account because I am apparently not a trusted member! I will try sending myself a request so that I can be.

Brad, profiles can normally be merged except in the case of a WikiTree member who has duplicate profiles.  That can ONLY be done by the admin team, so Clare has to write to them.

Try again to send an email address to info @ wikitree.com.  It is the main address for the Team and should be reachable.  You're going to need to contact them since both the accounts have email addresses and are for a living person.  They are the only people who can do the merging in this case.
