The parish birth record for this person (and all of her siblings) contains the following phrase or similar. "daughter born Mar 16th 1816 they being still of the Baptist profesion she is not baptised but called Margaret." There is a whole series of parish records on the same page for each her siblings, presumably recorded in the parish on the same day. I am confused as to what this is trying to tell me. Why is someone not baptised appearing in a baptism record of the parish? Not being a Scottish Baptist, I would really appreciate it if someone could kindly educate me please as to what this means.

It may mean that they were brought up baptist however not baptized - baptism occurs as adults with complete immersion.  One can be a member of the church/profession but not baptized in the faith until they are adults.
