Biography

Born Annie was born in 1866 ^[1]. She was the daughter of William Ward and Ann Hayes.

Her mother Ann died age 26 in 1869 ^[2] and was buried on 1 June 1869 at St Giles Matlock ^[3].
Her father married Rachel Coupe on 2 October 1870 in Tibshelf Derbyshire ^{[4] [5]}.

In 1871 ^[6] Annie (4) was living with her father William (32) "cordwainer" and step-mother Rachel (26) with sister Harriet (7) in Lane End Cottage, Tibshelf.
In 1881 ^[7] Annie (14) "Domestic Servant" was living in the household of John Ford (27) "Farmer 96 acres & Miller" in Lane End, Tibshelf.
