Biography

Caroline was the daughter of Adam Fletcher Walker (1819-1859) and Mary Ann Kay (1820-1855), both from Coshocton county, Ohio and married there on 19 March 1841. She was born 14 Feb 1842 and was the oldest of four children, her younger siblings were Malona Hefling (1844-1870), Elmira Ella Kay Hetrick (1845-1921) and Lewis Gideon Walker (1850-1936). Her family of six were living in Keene township of Coshocton county in Ohio in 1850.[1]

She married Josiah Bible on 21 June 1860 in Coshocton county, Ohio.[2] They had eight children.

Her family was living in Bethel township of McDonough county in Illinois in 1880.[3]

Caroline died in 1893 in McDonough county, Illinois. Her body was buried in the Archer-Bethel Cemetery in Fandon township.[4].[5] Her burial memorial gives her birth date as 14 February 1842, but that is not substantiated by the photo of the gravestone. Note that her sister has a birth date of 29 Sep 1842 (per FamilySearch.org), which is only seven and a half months later, if true. Gravestone of Malona has died 29 Mar 1870 - aged 26y 1m 8d, calculates to 21 Feb 1844, which if true leaves room for Caroline 1842 and Elmira 1845. Birth date on this profile changed to 14 Feb 1842 to agree with burial memorial because this is easier to do than try to correct the burial memorial.
