Elias and Betsy lived in the area of Stonington, CT which broke off into North Stonington in 1807. The last recorded birth of a child was in 1816, and in about 1819 the family moved to Rush, New York, which was in Ontario County at the time, later becoming Monroe County. Betsy's mother and probably two brothers had moved there previously. They finally moved near Kendall, NY, by 1840,[1] where they are buried.
