- Explore York Libraries and Archives This is a charity owned one third owned by staff and two thirds by Community Members. They manage City of York Council’s library and archive services. East Riding of Yorkshire Genealogical Resources
- Treasurers House, Beverley. The East Riding Treasure House is a multi-disciplinary centre for heritage and information services. It contains the East Riding Archives and Local Studies, Beverley Library, a Museum and Beverley Art Gallery. There is also a coffee lounge and gift shop.
North Riding of Yorkshire Genealogical Resources
- North Yorkshire County Record Office]. They collect, preserve and makes accessible historic and current records of significance for the study of North Yorkshire and its people and hold them in trust for the use of present and future generations. Some of the records date from 12th century and they continue to the present day. Many of them are online.
- The History of Skelton in Cleveland A great site indexed by years and topics. A lot of Family history and local information.
West Riding of Yorkshire Genealogical Resources
- West Yorkshire Archive Services There are five District Offices, Bradford, Calderdale, Kirklees, Leeds and Wakefield.
- Huddersfield Exposed website with a wealth of material relating to Huddersfield and the surrounding area, including some digitised books and images made available under Creative Commons licences.
