Hello Ed,

Thanks for creating pre-1700 profiles like Hans Gerber (1693-1766).

Our community standard is that all pre-1700 profiles require at least one reliable source be cited in order to proceed with creation. (Please see Help citing pre-1700 profiles.) In the case of Hans, the cited source is yourself, but citing oneself is not considered a reliable source and thus does not satisfy the requirement. However, your records may contain sources, in which case, one of those sources can be cited.

If you need help with Hans, the Switzerland Project is a good place to start.

Please let me know if you need help or clarification on any of this.

Thanks.

-William

Hi Ed,

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz and joining the Palatine Migration project!

Because pre-1700 ancestors are usually shared by many descendants, collaborating with members of the projects which coordinate them is essential.

Here is a list of all the Pre-1700 Projects in case you might want to join others.

Remember to cite reliable sources in pre-1700 profiles that you manage or edit. (See: Pre-1700 Reliable Sources).
