I was born on 20th March 1965 at the district hospital Junee, NSW. My Parents & Brother Paul Ian lived at 10 Hammond st, Junee at the time. Dad was in the RAAF but got out and was in the railways when he had me. He rejoined lthe RAAF later, & we got posted around-we were in Malaysia 1969-1970, various places in Queensland & NSW. When my family got posted to Amberly,QLD.in the early 1980;s, my brother Paul & myself (15-16 yrs old) stayed in Windsor-Richmond area NSW. When i was about 20 yrs i moved up to Walloon where my parents had their first home (Dad got out the RAAF after 25 yrs service). It was 3 bedroom brick veneer. My brother had moved back earlier and had one bedroom, my 2 sisters shared a room, & i was on a fold up bed in my parents room. ( I felt out of place & uncomfortable. ) i got a job as a waitress at the local hotel and met my first Husband there. We were married on 16 may 1987 at penola resturant Minden, Qld. We seperated in 1989 & divorced 24 August 1990. the marriage broke down due to his drining. i was living with my sister for awhile after. I met my 2nd Husband on new years eve 1989 at their party-( my other sister's Husband played soccer with all the Beaman boys while i was with my 1st husband), my sister,s & brother was invited to the party & they brought me along. Sean & me got on and continued to talk after & later moved in together. We were married 15th August 1992 at the celebrants home n Ipswich Qld. We tried for children for awhile and after alot of trouble finally was blessed with a Beautiful daughter on 19th August 1994, unfortunatly we wern't so lucky to have more, but i felt blessed to have the one. I named her after my maternal gran-Emily & my mum Diana. We moved around Queensland a bit and in 1995 we moved to Hamilton Vic. ( my whole family ended up moving the same year their), it was my mum's birthplace & family home. it always felt like home to me as moving around all my life we never had a home. We had a hard but comfortable life there, full of lifes ups and downs. Sean was very much into soccer all his life, and in early 2000's we met a new player who joined the team- later in December 2006 he asked us to move to Mackay Qld with him. Sean agreed, so on a whim we sold nearly everything, packed up the van and trailer and headed north. Both Myself & Sean ended up working in the base hospital. In 2010 Sean decided to leave me & our girl and went to live back in Hamilton Vic with my sister. we got dirvorced on 7 Aug. 2011. I loved it in Mackay as did my girl, so we stayed. Later in early Feb 2012 i met Steven, we just conected & have been together ever since. Emily decided to move to Brisbane where her dad was around 2013. In 2020 i got Breast cancer, and after such a bad year with that & other things, we got married at Eungella Qld. we had a medieval wedding with only a few Family & friends. My whole family were still in Vic. My Daughter came up for the wedding & put it on live feed via the net for my Family in Vic. Steve is a gem facetor, & a very good one ( after buggering his back in 3 places due to pannel beating). We have a small online business selling gemstones.

Hi Linda

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Magurie-2

Louis's last name at birth was Maguire rather than Magurie

Could you please amend his Last Name at Birth or add me to his Trusted List so I can make the change myself.

Thanks Steve

Hi Linda,

We're contacting you for the annual Australia Project membership checkin. We really appreciate your involvement in the Project in the last year. Thank you so much for all your help to improve Australian profiles on WikiTree.

Please could you reply to this message, or send me a private message to let us know if you'd like to stay on in the Project, and if you'd like to make any changes to the teams that you belong to. The teams are listed on Australia Project Teams.

If you've moved on to other things for the moment, that's absolutely fine. We'd appreciate if you'd let us know so that we can remove you from the membership list.

Over the past year, Australia Project members have been more active on Discord. We're finding it a fun way to communicate as a project. If you're not on Discord yet, here's some information - Help:Discord. If you are already on the WikiTree Discord server, let us know, and we can send you an invite link to the dedicated Australia Project server (WikiAustralia) where all our chat channels are located. It's a great way to communicate with other members on your project team/s, or for any general questions.

We're always happy to receive any ideas or suggestions that you have to make our project even better.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

The Australia Project Leadership Team ~ Gillian, Margaret and Veronica

Hello Linda,

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.

Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.

Hi Linda!

Welcome to WikiTree! Be sure to take a look at the link in the email you just got. It has important information to help you get started. :-)

WikiTree is different than other genealogy websites because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we share ancestors and work together as a BIG collaborative team!

What brings you to WikiTree? Do you have research you’d like to share? Are you interested in how your family fits into the big tree?

Confirm your email address, and you’ll be given an opportunity to fill in the Tags and comments to tell us about your genealogical interests.

Once you volunteer, one of our Greeters will confirm your membership, and you'll be able to add your family to the tree!

Happy Hunting, Cindy
