Biography
Maria Rosina Knuschke migrated from SIlesia to South Australia on the Heerjeebhoy Rustomjee Patel in 1845 with her husband and daughter. She is noted as his second wife.[1] It is not yet confirmed (2017) whether the daughter was Maria's biological or step-daughter.
In South Australia, the family settled at Langmeil (now on the outskirts of Tanunda). Johann Christian Knuschke died in March 1851.[2]
Maria was 52 when she remarried to Johann Gottfried Klemm on 25 November 1852 at Langmeil.[3] He was a landowner at Light Pass.[2]
She lived and died at Light Pass on 14 December 1864.[4]
She was buried at Immanuel Lutheran cemetery at Light Pass.[5]
