The Prabook website citation in 'sources' gives my professional bio. The only errors in it are in giving my children the surname of my current husband, Brown and in putting Dallas, Texas in Indiana!
I was born in El Paso, Texas, in 1940. After the bombing of Pearl Harbor, my father was transferred from the refining company in El Paso to the plant in Corpus Christi which produced zinc necessary for the war effort. We travelled all over the U.S and in Mexico during my school years.
I have been researching my family tree for a long time, beginning with photos dating back to the Civil War, letters from 1800, etc. I used Family Tree Maker for years , and a great deal of that research is proving valid 25 years later! (I imported a lot of "data" that was invalid as well!) I appreciate Wikitree's goal of having valid source references for profiles and for connecting profiles. I am 83 years old, and still teaching piano. I graduated from the Univ. of Texas in Piano Pedagogy. I have lived in Corpus Christi, Austin, and Dallas, Lima, Peru, and the Panama Canal Zone. I love taking Jet Punk quizzes and have submitted 32 quizzes of my own, most on classical music, several on Panama.
The "badge" citations below designate Puritan Great Migration ancestry and Welsh and Scottish ancestry. The Hugenot immigrant was Mareen Duvall.. https://prabook.com/web/marguerite_johnson.brown/182391

I see you are pre-1700 certified and working on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Help:Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.
Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.
Just a friendly reminder that Family Trees are not reliable sources for pre-1700 profiles.

P.S. To find reliable sources for your profiles, go to the Family Tree & Tools tab; select Genealogy Research and scroll down near the bottom of that list and select Research with RootsSearch. There are over 20 websites to access from there.
I couldn't find RootSearch on your parents' profiles either. If the profiles are for living people or have a HIGH security level, this can be a cause. Since your parents are deceased, first try making the Privacy level "Open" and see if RootSearch appears. When you're done researching you can change the Privacy back.
If this doesn't work, my tool bag is empty! It's time to post your question to the G2G forum. If you post, be sure to include one of your parents profiles for people to see.
(The forum link can also be found from the "HELP" drop down menu on your profile.)

Thanks again!
Thanks for self-certifying for the Pre-1700 badge! Collaboration with Pre-1700 Project members is essential for those wishing to edit Pre-1700 profiles. Collaboration is essential because those ancestors are usually shared by many descendants.
It looks like the United States Project would be a good fit based on your branch of WikiTree. If not, use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find other possibilities. Review the project page to learn about resources and guidelines as well as how to collaborate with the project members.
Do you have any questions? Let me know. I'm happy to help! :-)
Remember to cite reliable sources in pre-1700 profiles you manage, or edit. (See: Pre-1700 Reliable Sources).

PS Links sometimes do not work in email; if that happens, use the link in the public comments on your profile.
Thank you for signing the Honor Code and for adding your DNA Test information to your profile on WikiTree. Your information will be propagated to the profiles of your parents and your ancestors within about 24 hours of being added. It will also propagate to the profiles of the descendants of your ancestors, so they may see your information under the heading "DNA Connections" just as you can see theirs.
Getting started with DNA outlines how to proceed to use your DNA test information on WikiTree and DNA is a link to a collection of links about WikiTree's many features involving DNA.
The DNA Connections list on your profile will provide a visual way for you to find potential relatives on WikiTree who have also added their DNA test information. Using DNA tools at sites like GEDMatch.com, if you find a relative that matches your DNA sufficiently and you have genealogical sources for the intermediate relationships, you can mark the specific parental relationships back to the most recent ancestor that you both share as "confirmed with DNA." For details, guidance, and examples of how to properly document DNA confirmations, see DNA confirmation.
To find other potential relatives, continue adding sourced profiles for other lines until you can connect on all branches. The more branches you are able to add the greater the likelihood of finding potential cousins to match with. The process of identifying which branch elements of DNA relate to will better enable you to find matches that relate to the particular branches you are researching.
Have fun!

First ..... if your adding sources to your WikiTree families, using the link that's been created by WikiTree programers is the best! Start from your ancestors Profile Page, (In PROFILE mode NOT the EDIT mode).... on the right hand side, at the bottom is RESEARCH topic, below that is ROOTSEARCH. Follow the instructions to set up your Family Search connection..... once you've set it up, it will connect to your account with FamilySearch for you (sometimes it might prompt you to login to Family search again).... and it will self populate your ancestor's information to provide a list of potential RECORDS.
Second...... we typically post from the "Document Information" provided by these records...... it will say "Citing this Source" under the Document Information..... and will look like
"United States, GenealogyBank Historical Newspaper Obituaries, 1815-2011", database, FamilySearch (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:Q5MS-GZZV : 18 July 2020), Evelyn H Hamilton in entry for James W Hamilton, 1965.
You'll notice, it has a LINK back to that record.
Bottom line, you're not transferring a record to your tree, you're Citing their source which has a link to their Data.
Perhaps the ID # you are seeing is for the FamilySearch "Family Tree" ; it's using the same One Tree concept as WikiTree...... This Family Search ID usually has a lot of letters ....not a surname. While the FamilySearch ID # is useful as a research tool for sources and hints of links to other family members, at this phase in development the facts and relationships provided there should be verified.
I'll find some links to WikiTree help documents that explain this more effectively....
Don't worry, there's a lot to learn but take is slow and everything will fall into place. It's great you're wanting to post quality sources!
