Hi Jennifer,

You added Andrew Mitchell (abt.1662-1736) as a son to Thomas Mitchell (abt.1630-1709) without any sources. What is your source for their relationship?

Also, you have created quite a few duplicate Mitchell profiles - some of which are Mayflower-related. Please use this tool in advance to ensure that you are not creating duplicates: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:How_to_Search_for_Existing_Profiles All the Mayflower passengers and many generations below them already have profiles on WikiTree. Would you like to be seen on WikiTree as one of the "go-to" people for your Mayflower ancestor, Thomas Rogers? The Mayflower Project would like to involve you in a new effort to update Mayflower profiles and establish Mayflower passenger "Teams", beginning with the Rogers family.

Goal: Every project profile will have an accurate, written biography, with inline citations, using primary sources and reliable secondary sources.

I hope that you will be eager to contribute towards this goal starting with the family of your ancestor, Thomas Rogers. Please send me a private message and let me know your thoughts? Once I know you are interested in helping, I will send you an invitation to join the Mayflower Google group. When you accept the invitation, we will be on our way.

Jennifer, Welcome to the Mayflower Project. We strive for accuracy. I'm glad to see that you are already following the MAYFLOWER, HOPKINS, and ROGERS tags. Please be sure you coordinate you work ing2g by checking in regularly. You should add your name on the project page. Becky Syphers the project leader.
Hi Jennifer! Your comment that you're a descendant of de Vesci had me puzzled (he's one of the Surety Barons with no descendants past the 4th generation). So I checked... you're his second cousin 26 times removed, so a relative but not a lineal descendant.

However, if you run the relationship finder for some of the barons who do have living descendants today, you will probably find that WikiTree shows you to be a lineal descendant of many of them (I checked to Quincy-226 & Special:Relationship says he's your 26th great grandfather - with no "Uncertain" relationships, but no "Confident" ones either. See this G2G post for more info about that.)

Cheers, Liz

Hi Jennifer,

Thanks for becoming pre-1700 certified. Now that you will be working on older profiles you will find yourself collaborating more with others. The best way to do this is by joining a project. Have a look at our list of pre-1700 projects and see if any are of interest to you. Give me a shout if you have any questions.

Thanks, Susie :-)

Jennifer, I see you are following the MAYFLOWER tag. To earn the Mayflower Badge, you will need to per-certify for Pre-1700 profiles. Here are the links for the Pre-1700:

Please notify me when you have Pre-1700.

Thanks for your interest in the Mayflower project. Becky Syphers

Hello

You may have been hard at work getting connected to family members who are already here and adding those who were missing. You probably have at least a few profiles that you manage now.

There's a fast and easy way to access those profiles using the Watchlist. So, this week we're going to look at How to Manage Your Watchlist.

Please let one of us know if you have questions!
