Edward Hoyle was the son of Samuel Hoyle, Gent., of Barkisland, Yorkshire, and Anne Towneley.[1][2] He was baptized 1 August 1641[1][2] at Elland, Yorkshire.[3]
Edward Hoyle immigrated to Virginia[1] by 26 March 1666, when he appears on a headright list of Robert Taliaferro and Lawrence Smith.[2]
In 1678 he contributed toward the communion table cloth for the Petsworth parish church.[2]
Edward married Ann Debnam,[1] stepdaughter of Charles Grymes.[2] The date and place of their marriage is unknown. They had at least one child:
Samuel, married Eliabeth Elliott in 1705; Samuel died by 1734 when his estate was adminisered by his son Edward[2]
Edward's date and place of death are unknown.
