Hi Ross,

We're contacting you for the annual Australia Project membership checkin. We really appreciate your involvement in the Project in the last year. Thank you so much for all your help to improve Australian profiles on WikiTree.

Please could you reply to this message, or send me a private message to let us know if you'd like to stay on in the Project, and if you'd like to make any changes to the teams that you belong to. The teams are listed on Australia Project Teams.

If you've moved on to other things for the moment, that's absolutely fine. We'd appreciate if you'd let us know so that we can remove you from the membership list.

Over the past year, Australia Project members have been more active on Discord. We're finding it a fun way to communicate as a project. If you're not on Discord yet, here's some information - Help:Discord. If you are already on the WikiTree Discord server, let us know, and we can send you an invite link to the dedicated Australia Project server (WikiAustralia) where all our chat channels are located. It's a great way to communicate with other members on your project team/s, or for any general questions.

We're always happy to receive any ideas or suggestions that you have to make our project even better.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

The Australia Project Leadership Team ~ Gillian, Margaret and Veronica

Hi Maragret. Could you please remove me from all the Groups I volunteered for? I am the Genealogy Volunteer now at Marrochdore Library, which I find gives me plenty to do on the Family History side. Thank you, Ross M. Howat, Buderim Q4556.

Hi Ross,

Thank you for your reply to the checkin, and for your involvement in the Australia Project in the past, and your past contributions to WikiTree, they are much appreciated.

As you are not in a position to be an active team member in the Project at this time, we will remove you from the Project list. You are always more than welcome to re-join at any time.

Kind Regards

Margaret Haining Membership Coordinator

Hi Ross, i have a join request from you for the Australia Project google group, did you want to join the Australia Project, see our G2G joining post here, and post an answer there, and I'll message you with joining information.

Kind regards, Margaret, membership Coordinator.

I want to join the First Peoples and the World War 1 groups please. I may have clicked on the Google group by mistake: I didn't see any info on it at the G2G page: what is it about, please? My skills are mainly in the Trove and PapersPast digitised newspaper interrogation Margaret, and I think mentions of names of First Nations and Maori peoples of the time may help descendants looking for Tree branches.

Ross Howat.

Congratulations on your new GEDCOM badge. Here's a link to a great step-by-step of the process including screenshots that you might find helpful.

The help pages give lots of information about the process, best to start with 'Before you import a GEDCOM'.

Welcome Ross!

You are now a member of the WikiTree Community. We are building one Collaborative Tree which means one profile per person.

It is important to check for duplicates as you add any Profiles to WikiTree. Instead of making another profile of the same person, we add our sources to profiles which match ours and are already on WikiTree.

See How to Use WikiTree to be quickly oriented.

Our list of Projects offers unique ways to participate in WikiTree.

Visit our G2G Forum for answers to questions like this one: How do you find sources?

Thank you for joining us in building our shared tree.

I agree with the WikiTree mission. I give a high priority to data integrity. I am retired, willing and able to commit time to profile collaboration.

Hi, Ross. Thanks for checking out our site.

A few employees and a whole lot of volunteers are working together to create a FREE global family tree with only one profile per person. If you'd like to help us by adding your family branches or help to grow the tree in some other way, please select the volunteer button and leave a statement informing us of your interest in our project.

You're welcome to ask a question at G2G forum.

Our Honor Code helps to keep us friendly. Hope you'll join us. :)
