Impressive profile!!

If I wasn’t so obsessed with a brick wall, mine would be very similar to yours with many common ancestors. Feel free to browse at what I have in my tree

Hello Amy!

Reviewed your very impressive profile. I hope we find our closest common ancestor. Since we share 8.8 cM, we are probably 4th or 5th cousins.

I reviewed your tree and noticed that you have some BELLs and SCOTTs — I keep matching individuals with these surnames but have not been able to connect to any of them.

Hi Amy, Wanted to let you know that I removed the source you added to Thomas Osborne V (abt.1690-1755). The source refers to Osbornes who remained near the old homestead on the James River, in what became Chesterfield Co. This Thomas left there in the 1730s, relocating up the Appomatox River. I also removed the source you added to his daughter Martha (Osborne) Harris (abt.1725-bef.1755) . It doesn’t refer to her; that's a different family. These Osbornes can be tricky.

It has links, years, county, names, Will and Probate #'s, lineage. Use where needed on the profiles for sources. Yea, I'm figuring that out.

Hi, you’ll need to open the file it has multiple locations for the Osborne’s in Virginia not just Chesterfield.

Still don’t understand what are asking me to do. I was just cleaning up my profile. That’s a convenient source, but, the profiles for the first four or more generations of these Osbornes are fully documented already. If you want to extend out further, be extra careful you have the right guy, not an uncle, nephew, cousin, or distant cousin with same name. Thanks, Betty.
Hi, Pritchett-229 and Pritchett-358 are the same person. You have them married to the same person and deceased on the same date. The same for Price-5008 and Price-7315. Please add me to the trusted list so I can fix them.

Hi Kimberly, thank you! It’s been a work in progress. I do have more information to update on my profile, just haven’t done it yet. My DAR ancestor and my San Jacinto Descendant. For my DAR I actually need to check to make sure it’s correct on WikiTree. The more I discover on my family lineage the more information I am able to share with others! Let me know if you’d like any recommendations or suggestions, I’m happy to help! And would love to figure out we’re we share ancestors and if it’s on our Taylor line! :)

Amy,

James Henry was my great grandfather. His wife's name is Marilda McClung. I have a second cousin still living who remembers Marilda, and has shared stories and pictures of her and Jame's family. I just found this cousin a couple of years ago through 23andme, and so glad to connect. Her mother and my grandfather, Robert Henry McNutt, were siblings. Lots of good help out there for geneologists. Wikitree is good but I don't really know much about entering data here. Hope this helps. Amy Lewis

Hello Amy,

I'm not sure how to contact you. I entered my DNA data in Wikitree in 2017. 23andme. You can see my family tree in ancestry.com, and familysearch as Amelia McNutt. You may also find me on 23andme. I will check to see if you are on cousin list if you had your DNA done there. Happy hunting, Amy Lewis

Hi Amy!

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working with members of the projects which coordinate them is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.

Sources are very important here on Wikitree, especially on Pre-1700 profiles. It is how we show where we got the info and help others find it too. Find out more about sources here and more detailed info here.

Use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find one which best fits your research focus. Review the project pages for special guidelines and to learn how to collaborate with the project members.

Let me know if you have trouble finding projects which fit your focus. If you have any questions, be sure to use the "reply link" for this comment so that I will be notified. You can also click my name to send a private message, or post a comment on my profile page.

Hi Amy!

Thank you for adding your DNA Test to your profile on WikiTree. Getting Started with DNA will tell you more about how DNA kits are used on WikiTree.

DNA at WikiTree provides a visual way for you to find others who have tested and have the potential of having common ancestors. To get the best results, you need to start with yourself and add sourced profiles for your ancestors until you can connect to existing profiles in WikiTree. 24 hours later, your test will have populated on the profiles of your ancestors and their descendants, where others with potential matches may also appear.

Have fun collaborating on your ancestors

Cheryl ~ WikiTree Greeter

P.S. If links do not work in an email from WikiTree, try them from the comment section on your profile page.
