Henry was born about 1870 in Carlton in the Colony of Victoria. He was the son of James Graham and Mary Theresa Graham (née Lauder).
Harry Graham was an Australian cricketer who played six Tests Matches for Australia, and also played cricket for New Zealand. He was also an Australian Rules footballer who played for the Melbourne Football Club in both the Victorian Football Association (VFA) and the later Victorian Football League (VFL).
He made his Test Cricket debut against England at Lord's from July 17 - 19, 1893, scoring a century on debut. And he played his last Test also against England at Lord's from June 22 - 24, 1896. He was a champion First Class cricketer for his Colony of Victoria in Australian Intercolonial matches and a much admired player on the other side of the Tasman for the District of Otago as well.
He had moved to New Zealand after retiring from First Class and district cricket in Victoria to coach at the Otago Boys' High School in Dunedin. But his health deteriorated due to his alcoholism and failing mental illness and he was committed to an asylum near Dunedin, New Zealand in 1907; where he remained until his death.
Known affectionately as Little Dasher, Harry Graham passed away in February 1911 at the Seacliff Mental Hospital in Seacliff, Otago, New Zealand and is buried in the Southern Cemetery in Dunedin, Otago, New Zealand.
