Antoine was born in France in about 1626. [1] He came to Acadie around 1654..[2]

Very soon, he married JJeanne Chebrat, daughter of Antoine and Francoise Chaumoret in about 1654. [1].They appear to have had only one child, Huguette, present in their household in 1671[3]. Next time we encounter the family, Hugette is married with three children of her own in 1678 and Jeanne is a widow, thus Antoine has died.[4]

Gougeon-162 and Gougeon-19 appear to represent the same person because: Same date and location of birth, same spouse and daughter Huguette.

I don't see any sources listed so I would say that it's just a family tree that has been published in book form. Worth noting in a research section though. Might prove to be factual.

Is anyone familiar with this new book: The Legere Family of Nova Scotia and France, by Diana J Muir, lulu.cm, 2019. She gives parents for Antoine Gougeon, son of Louis Marie Gougeon and Josette L'Hussier. I haven't seen his parents anywhere else and this is a new publication. The data on Jeanne Chabrat seems to be correct.

Hi,

Gougeron-5 and Gougeon-19 are in fact duplicates but set as unmerged match now, see also this G2G where things are explained a bit more.

Greets,

Bea :)
